Summer Job: Waste Collector with C-License in Tomelilla

We are now looking for engaged waste collectors with a C driving license and YKB (professional competence certificate) who want to work for the summer at Verdis in Tomelilla.

About the Job

Verdis is responsible for the collection and transport of household and food waste in Tomelilla and Simrishamn, with Österlens Kommunala Renhållnings AB (ÖKRAB) as the client and partner. We now need to strengthen the department with several positive and goal-oriented waste collectors with a C license and YKB who can work full-time over the summer (May to the end of August).

As a waste collector, you play a key role within the company. You are Verdis face to the public and become one of our everyday heroes helping to keep Österlen clean. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the cleaning tasks are performed in accordance with the company's routines and our client's requirements. You report to the management.

Your duties include, among other things:

• Collection and transport of waste using rear-loading collection vehicles
• Handling of vehicle computers and RFID equipment
• Reporting deviations
• Daily maintenance/inspection of vehicles and superstructures, as well as washing them when necessary
• Submitting vehicles to the workshop when needed

Who Are You?

We are looking for you who have a C driving license with the associated YKB and who master the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Professional experience as a truck driver and knowledge of heavy vehicles
• Previous experience in some form of waste collection
• Good local knowledge (Tomelilla/Simrishamn)

Other Information

Start: According to agreement
Employment type and scope: Fixed-term full-time employment over the summer (May to August)
Working hours: We operate Monday to Friday, 06:00–15:00
